Today I worked on getting my truenas server built and configured. Took an old Dell R730, installed 6x4tb SAS drives in it and 1x500gb SSD (as a boot drive) and loaded TrueNAS.
Once it was loaded, I connected the 10gb fiber NIC to my network, created the iSCSI share on truenas and went ahead and added a new SR to XCP-NG.

Just to test it, I created a new VM via the GUI to make sure that it would boot. I must say, it was moving data rather quickly along that 10gb nic. The MTU on truenas is set to 9000.

I will work on publishing new Terraform code to build out vms using the new SR in XCP-NG.
All in all, I would say it was a good day at the home lab.
